Anybody know where I can get new decals for my K2 carbon?
-
If you wish to source from the UK contact CVI they are the point of contact in the UK for K2 spares,
you could always have some custom decals made, check the yellow pages for local sign makers,
notice from your other posting your in hampshire, there are other K2 carbon owners in hampshire (me and sprucey for one)also nigel just up the road in kent and Dominic in plymouth we've all met up.

I worked at a sign shop last year and managed to make a few decals for my 4500. If you send me an e-mail I could send you some photos of them.
They are not exact recreations of the originals. They have their one flare.

a ways back, some of the more creative and artistic members of our group created some new decals - some were much like the originals and i believe some were created with a "959" theme.
i believe some of the pics of the aftermarket decals were posted in the files - didn't look tho
perhaps some have a few extras that they might part with -

so colin -
how long have you had your carbon frame?
what shock do you have on it?
where did you get it, private party or shop?
what fork do you have on it and what are your impressions of the bike?
just curious -

Colin,
I am the guy who had the Pro~Flex 959 Decals made for the carbon bikes, 20 sets were ordered, but only 16 people ever coughed up the cash... so I have some sets still in the office.
Don't want to upset anyone who ordered originally, but I think they were 30 or 40 USD a set, incl. shipping.
If you want a set of these, then send me £20 GBP tocover the decals and postage (from Sweden) and I'll get them in the post to you..
Take it easy,
Mike.

Note: I don't take any credit for making the graphics artwork, or the change to make the 959 badge.
I don't have the pdf files any more either...
But I think it was Dave Stewart who made the artwork for the "959" decals... does anyone remember? They might even have been available here as a download....

Hi.
If you could send me a pic of what they look like, I will let you know if i'll have them, providing you still have some.
Cheers.

(http://idriders.com/proflex/galleries/carbon_angus/Oz_current.jpg).....I stripped the k2 decals and put set of these "959" decals a few years back. MATNO please note...the seat has been adjusted [smiley=laughing.gif] And the Ying/Yang Geckos round decal is not part of the "959" decals....

cheers, it just doesn't seem right putting 959 stickers on it, but the do look good, i will have to have a good think about it.

Sometime ago, there was some logical thinking here (correct or incorrect) that this frame would have followed the sequence of previous frame model names and been a "959" but k2 had wanted it's name on the bike. I think the 97's were the last true Pro~Flex labeled bikes and the 98's were the year that they sported both the Pro~Flex and k2 name.
Armstrong/k2 bought Pro~Flex in 1996 I believe.
I am just a romantic for good times past, that's all. :'(

Cheers angus, you have won me over, now to find anyone with some for sale.
-
Angus,
what do you mean by "Armstrong/K2 bought Pro~flex"? I own a K2/Pro~flex 5500C, but what has Armstrong got to do with my pride and joy?
Greetings, Jeroen.
