I have an old off road proflex rear supension prototype from the late 1980s and it has the straight bushing style rear supension. the problem is it the pin is only a 1/4 inch wide and it snaps every time i am out+ the bushing is consistanly cracking...poor engineering? any ideas on how to fix this issue? was thinking about welding it into a stiff tail, the suspenion doesnt reallt give much anyway.
thanks, ryan

Any chance of uploading a pic ???
Tried making a new pin out of stainless steel ? maybe solid rod instead of hollow except for any internal threads.
Simon.

I Did what Simon is suggesting for one of my bikes, and it is working better than stock. The solid rod weight is a bit more, but the improvement in performance far outweights that.
