Title: wanted 350 to 450LBS/in coil shock
Post by: junkster on May 11, 2004, 02:18:30 am
Latest addition to my bike, (rapidly becoming entirely comprised of diy adapters and brackets) - a coil shock on my Girvin Vector 1. Trouble is, it is a 650LBS/in coil over shock, (originally a rear shock on a cheap FS bike).
Anyone got a 350LBS/in to 450LBS/in coil shock in the UK they wanna swap for my 650 or will let go for a few pennies. This is a temp solution till I can afford a Risse Genesis. I live in Brighton, East Sussex.

Are you after just a coil spring ??? or a complete shock with a lighter spring,I'm not far from you (Hampshire) and I have a NB175-500 spring off an Nr4 abit stiffer than you want but you can have it if its of any use to you.
Simon.

junkster,
I happen to have a brand new, never used, never mounted almost 2 year old Risse Genesis that I had made for a carbon xlink fork. I ended up going with a fox talas fork and sold the xlink with the smart shock, but still have a genesis.
Make me an offer, dude! I guess "dude" is a stupid work, but make me an offer anyway.

Hi all,

DENNIS: very interested. I know that Risse shock are preset to riders weight and type of ride. I am 16st and do XC. Would this be set up for roughly this? Could you email me on dbaverstock@hotmail.com. Where abouts do you live?

cheers,

Dan

Hi Simon,
thanks for your reply. I was just after a coil shock 4" long - u know those cheapy standard stock rear shock coils you get on cheap fs bikes. Purely a temp solution. Check out my gallery.

Will see what Dennis says about the Risse Genesis he has on offer.

cheers,
Dan
