Title: Suspension pivots for 856
Post by: Ashton on April 04, 2004, 11:03:39 pm
OK, so I tried through the LBS, then the importers here in NZ, but can't get any success.  Directions please to a supplier for rear suspension pivots including the O ring seals and through bolt for my 856.  I'm tired of the rear wheel steer system!!!

Hi.  K2 Canada has them.  I think the bushings and seals go for $30 CAD  for the whole kit,  and each pivot is $20.  If you can't get them, I could try to order them for you and ship them to you.  Last time I ordered stuff I dealt with K2 directly and then had them fax the order to the bike shop for approval.  K2 was great to deal with :), the LBS was not  >:(.  I actualy want to put in another order shortly.

For the bolt, just go to a hardware store and pick up the correct size.  You can get new axles threaded for an M8 bolt instead of the stock M6 so maybe pick up one of each bolt.  The sizes are listed in the pdf's in the <How To's> section.

BTW, check with Simon on how his 856 sealed bearing conversion is going.  He may be able to help you out with going that route.

Cheers,
Trevor
