Hi,
Has anyone ever used a Suntour fork on a Pro Flex.
I have just bought this Suntour DC90 triple clamp 90mm for my "Beast". Did I do the right thing?
I can't find a Chubby and this looks much the same even if it works on a different principle.

This is my "Beast" with its Marzocchi fork which is still on there until I decide whether to use the Suntour or not.

Hear from you soon,
Colin.

Keep the Marzocchi, don't touch the suntour, that
would be a big backwood step [smiley=dead.gif]

Yeah, what he said. BIG downgrade, even from an older Marzocchi. Lots of extra weight and no performance gain. For that matter, a Chubby would be a big downgrade. Plus, that's really a cross country frame (no matter what anybody says). A dual crown fork would just be weird.

Keep the Marzocchi it is way better.

Thanks for the help. Unanimous verdict !!
I have found an old Marin B17 frame which needs forks. Maybe these will do for that. MTB Review seems quite enthusiatic about the DC90 - more so than for other SR Suntour forks. They rate it 4.17/5 .

My son, who will probably use them, thinks the gaiters/boots are naff. I tend to agree. Never mind - I can take them off. He cares more about form than function anyway. When I used to sell motorcycles for a living gaiters were sometimes used by riders part exchanging their bikes to cover up leaky seals. We always looked underneath before buying !!
