well guys, I'm upgrading my bike (again) and this time I've been thinking about replacing the Psylo SL, for a sherman firefly thru axel!! I like the Idea of a stiffer and plusher fork for my aggresive riding, so has anybody tried this before? I also though about just upgrading the drop outs for a tullio, but since SRAM is running the web site, they took almost everything out!!! no more manuals, or part lists, nothing!!

I was on SRAM's site and found all the manuals and such. I don't see why you coudn't swap lowers. RS's individual component prices are pretty high so it might be wothwhile to purchase another fork. If you decide on a Firefly i'd check the axle to crown height as it will probably be taller. I'd also guess you'd add .5 + pound to the front end.

If you did want to swap lowers, I've got a Psylo XC Tullio that I could get rid of 'cheep cheep'! Also a 20mm wheel to go with it. It is a 2002 model and I have installed Enduro seals already. Check it out at http://www.me.mtu.edu/~pjlilles/ForSale.htm
There's no reason why you couldn't go with the Firefly, btw, but as was pointed out above, you will gain a good half pound, and have a more complex and slower to take apart thru-axle to remove when you get a flat. It is a very nice fork besides that, though.
