I am looking for new suspension forks for my 756, was browsing the web and came across these:
Manufacturers site:
http://www.hurrycat.fr/htm/ital/produit_vor.htm
To buy, follow this link and search for 'vorace'
http://www.xxcycle.com/
The basic idea seems to have been stolen/borrowed from x-links? I was just curios if anyone has had any experience with these forks? I have checked mtbreview and cant find anything on them.
I had as may as well ask: Does anyone have a set of x-links they are willing to part with? Forks must be in good condition but I am not bothered about the condition of the shock, or absence of it. I am uk based, will pay all P&P and import documentation costs if coming from states, wherever.
Thanks.

The Hurrycat forks look great. They are very comparable to Crosslink forks. you wouldn't even have a problem finding an importer to the Uk it looks like you already have one.
The prices are a little bit high but I would definitely think of getting one if they had a north american distributor.
I sympathize with your out of the loop situation. I'm Canadian myself. Its really hard to find someone willing to ship internationally.
searching on this site would be your best bet.
I will definitely keep you in mind if anything comes up here.

A Crosslink with adjustable travel? Now there's an idea whose time has come... :)
I wonder if the 100mm setting causes problems with the "J-path" and handling. Nobody here has ever posted results of a mod to increase travel on an X-link. There was a guy a couple of years ago (Randy in Idaho) who was going to modify his for 5", but I think he dropped off the board before ever actually doing it.

Hi Seren,
I am a frequent visitor/poster here. I have a Crosslink in "as new" condition. You can see that a wheel was mounted and taken out but that and some minor flecks of paint lost are the only marks. It has the NR2 shock and another brand new NR2 as a spare. My last Crosslink I sold to a buyer in France and it arrived safely though he paid an exorbitant tax in that country. Please email me direct stp479@aol.com for photos and more information.

what do the people of hurrycat mean by 'no back wheel' as one of the pro's of their fork?
Jeroen.

Hi Seren. Did your Vector2's give up the ghost [smiley=dead.gif] or do you just want a newer fork? You could always get a risse unit for your Vector2.
I can vouch for Scott as a good seller. I bought a crabon smart x~link from him and it was in perfect condition. He packed it extermely well too. (Thanks again Scott! [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif])

Thanks Trevor-I hated to see those beauties leave so I packed ' lovingly. Glad to know their in good hands.
Jeroen:" no back wheel" is most likely a reference to our Crosslinks j path trajectory.

Hey Scott- no prob.
btw, how is the Look fork working out? It "looks" awesome! ;D How does it perform compared to a crosslink? They seem very similar but the Look has a more machined/lighter appearance.
I almost picked up a 5500c frame myself.... maybe someday. It was a local auction and the seller would have delivered it. The final price was $402 USD That was a good price, but I would rather keep upgrading my 856 at the moment. I think I should be getting to the 22 lbs range now with the Ti pedal axles I just got.

The Look/Fournales is similar to the Crosslink with the exception being less compliance over trail chatter (typical air shock) and it seems to be overwhelmed by a very quick series of bumps even with fast rebound. Downhills are better though and at 1200 +- grams it's very light plus that weight loss is from the top of the fork so it helps lower my c.g. a bunch. A few less beers would too!
For XC and racing I don't think you can improve on the 856 and I have no doubt you'll be making 22lbs or lees with the kit you've lined up for that lightweight frame-you should post it at the LightBikes.com site!
