Title: need help from Euro riders
Post by: Dennis on March 02, 2003, 04:59:14 am
Anyone in Europe, please help!!
I have been trying to locate a clear Grunge Guard for my cool rear derailleur. It turns out that a shop named"Wiggle" (in England) have them,

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/product_detail.asp?ProdID=5300001352

however, they do not ship to the US. If i sent you the funds, could someone please get me one, and send it to me?
anyone else know where to get  a clear rear der. grunge guard?
in the meantime, I am going to try to get one direct from Lizard Skins, but they may be out of production.
thanks for the help.

OK.  I live in England, and will get you one and mail it out.  Message me with your e-mail address, and we will get going.

I might want you to get me something from stateside, as every thing here is priced in £'s the same as your prices in$'s!  Wow, do we get ripped off over here.  We also do not have anything like 'Supergo'.  That 'Wiggle' on line shop is not always the cheapest over here either.  I might be able to get it cheaper from a LBS that does deals.

Dennis,

Lizard Skins are made in Utah, so you should be able to find them here! They're actually located in my old home town, so you could try the LBS there: Timpanogos Cyclery (801) 796-7500 (Ask for Terry)

Aardvarkcycles.com is also a local company and might be able to hook you up.

Or just contact Lizard Skins directly: http://www.lizardskins.com/contact.html

Universalcycles.com carries the grunge guard, but doesn't list a clear one. You might give them a call too.

Good luck!

Carbon,
turns out they are out of production and Wiggle in England pretty much has what's left. Oz-SUB is doing me a solid on this one!!
by the way, your quad rings went out today in the mail.
thanks again!!  :'(

Hey we should get a little exchange thing going on here.  Any deals on electronics or anything else we could take advantage of overseas folks?

How about tires? (Or "tyres" as the case may be...)
Seems like they tend to be the one thing that is cheaper in Europe (at least the European brands like Continental). I know I can get road tyres at about 1/2 price ordering from sdeals.com in England. (On the other hand, they often close shop - like starting tomorrow for the rest of March!) Any other good sources there?

I've seen better prices on cycling clothing from European retailers as well.
