After riding a Moots Mootaineer in Scottsdale last weekend, I have the urge for a new trailbike.
I figure that my 5500/Oz has crossed over into freeride territory and am trying to convince myself that a nice light full suspension ride is in my future.
Thought about a Heckler as well, but it seems so close to the 5500 as far as the pivot goes, would it be too similar?
Anyother suggestions?

yes -
intense spyder vpp or the newer 5.5 travel version - the evp
rode the vpp (like it) but the evp isn't out yet locally -
my neighbor bob has the blur and i've toodled around on it - prefer the oz

the heckler is a great bike, so is the Ox 'er Oz i mean.
the Heckler and BLur are two different bikes though
the Oz is an XC bike with over 4.5 very plush travel. you can balance it well with a four inch fork but it doesn't have the geometry that the heckler does and IMHO both those Santa Cruz frames are a little better than the Oz in respects to handling, although not enough for me to switch. i almost put a deposit on a BLur frame last year. don't regret not doing it.
the BLur is a real XC machine with descent travel though so if you want another bike and are keeping the freeride modded Oz....i'd do the Intense Spyder myself, it's just a wee wee bit better built than the SC, IMHO
