Title: Hopey steering dampners?

 Interesting looking device. Anyone have one or heard any pro/ cons? Thanx

i have a few more pics in my gallery. it works well if you are going downhill and it's very rutty or rocky...helps keep the front wheel tracking, some others "turn it on" for climbing, but if your technique is good (lite on the bars for me) it doesn't help too much. it will add confidence to your ridng rough sections. if you are a downhiller, you will love it. if you're xc you will notice a difference. it's pricey but does the job. installation is pretty easy, you will have to punch out your star nut to install it.

why don't you shorten your seatpost? Expecting to grow in the future?

i know..and others think my seat is tipped too far down in the nose...too...

I also have a Hopey on my Oz. my technique is probably not what Carbon's is, but I find that the Hopey helps tremendously over loose rocks, sand, and other situations where you don't want to steer too much.
its not like you really notice that it is doing something, but rather that your steering will smooth out and your arms will be somewhat less fatigued. its works pretty transparently, which is one of its strong points, imo.
If you doubt its working, turn it off for a while, you will notice a difference!
