Title: proflex attack le rear elastomer suspension
Post by: taylor durham on October 18, 2003, 05:20:53 pm
i own a proflex attack le and i am only 17 so for the longest time i have been a light rider but as i get older the rear elastomer struggles to work. i am wondering if anybody knows of any way to put a coil spring in for the yellow elastomer. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I believe the attack rear suspension was an elastomer unit only with no other form of damping so there is no way of just fitting a spring as you would just end up bouncing all over the place, there is no quick fix to this you may be able to find a replacment shock eg risse but then your looking at a large investment is it worth it?you could also look into fitting a damped unit of another model of proflex eg 856, 857 but they may require changing the struts as well, your best bet would be to replace your currant elastomer with one more suitable to your weight, the one you currantly have fitted has probably gone hard they do over time,Simon [smiley=nod.gif]
