I've been reading about the new 'improved' fox shox, and they basically promise a better 'pedaling' shox ( vanilla R and RC) which would be amazing, since they are so easy to install in the EVO frame (disco monkey)
Has anybody used this new shox? or tried? or heard anything 'bout them? I'm planning in upgrading my (old) VanillaR whith the new R or even a RC (since they are so good pedalling) please any input, info, gossip, interbike tips?

i'll comment further when i get my fox talas r back from the fox shop for the second time, install it and run it for a while -
OP
(take a look at progressive air as well and maybe a romic coil with their special valving, but romics have had some leakage issues)

FYI,
According to Romic the leakage issue has been dealt with (two bad seals, I believe); although 300 or so went out this way. Haven't tried them so no way to no for sure...

so a Romic CAN be install in a disco monkey??what size and model would that be?
-
romic double i believe claims an 8" / 200 mm unit - one just sold on ebay for less than 150 with a 400 pound spring (i got busy at work and neglected to bid on it)
seller claimed 210 mm and 8.25" but i could not find those measurements on the romic website and if so, may have been pulled off a production bike.
i've not put one on an evo style frame - it looked quite doable at least on a carbon - the mount hole under the seat / between the plates of various evo models might be a bit of a concern.
i should have my talas back in a day or so and i'll report in after a few runs
