Title: Anybody tried a Romic
Post by: pedro on February 22, 2003, 11:54:25 pm
:( :'( :( Med size evo, can't fit Fox Rc. I do trail riding
,no jumps, however bike gets abused on rocky trails :-[ and descends. I will soon need to replace stock NR-1, and I need to study my possibilities. A Fox R may be too plain, would like to control how the shock compresses. So it may be a choice between Romic and Stratos. I have read about the stratos, but not much on the romic.

Romic is WAY bigger then a RC...

no chance it'll fit into a medium EVO... sorry guy..

least not with the stock shock ends...

the coil spring on a Romic is huge... [smiley=worry.gif]

Yes, they are quite beefy. My buddy has one on his Kona. No way it would fit the EVO unless they would custom fit it for you...The Romic is a sweet ride if you like going DH fast because the tire just doesn't want to break free from the ground. Its more suited to DH racing than trail/freeriding, IMHO.

You could always be the test pilot for all your fellow K2ers here and see if Stratos could fit your frame with an EL Jefe  ;D ;D ;D

I will write Romic and see if I can interest them in making a shock to fit our bikes.  :P
