Title: Anyone need one of these?
Post by: tmaybee on September 27, 2003, 12:26:10 am
Just cleaning out my extra parts bin and selling stuff on ebay, but If anyone could use this, you can have it.  Just send me an email.

This little thing is perfect for a v-brake on the swingarm of a proflex.  It can be used with a v-brake and v-brake levers or in booster mode with a v-brake and cantilever levers.

It was on a bike that I bought and it was used in the canitlever / v-brake setup.  This really helps with clearance issues that you can have using a v-brake noodle on the back.

How are you ?when you say clearance does that involve your feet. When I ride my 855 my feet just touch the rear breakes. Second siily question. Does the V in v break refer to the cable shape?
Deano. :)

Hi Dean.  Yes, I meant the clearance with the rear brakes and your feet.  The noodle for the v-brake tends to get in the way.   I am not sure why they are called v-brakes????  Vertical something or other I guess...

I have actually sent out the little pulley to another proflexor on the board.  Sorry.

I figured out what strut you have, its's a strut from a 656.  I think it is too long for use on an 855.  Have a look at my gallery to see the 855 and 856 struts.  Take a measurement of your strut and let me know and I will compare it to mine.
