I'm working on a full rebuild of my wife's 856/beast. It's going well, apart from the fact that I can't figure put to pull apart the rear suspension.
I took out the 150 torque bolt but the rear suspension won't pull apart from the rear triangle.
The bike has a rear speed spring which might explain the trouble......thoughts?

I assume by 150 torque bolt you mean the M6 bolt in the strut that holds on the Shock?
i.e. part 8

If so, I expect you'll find that part 6, the Split Collet is the cause of the lack of movement, it's intentionally a force interference fit into the recess in the strut and so what I always do is re-insert the M6 bolt until it is just 2mm short of full insertion and then give the head of it a gentle tap with a rubber mallet which usually frees the shock and split collet.

Did you get the shock separated from the triangle? If it is stuck, you can put the bolt back in 3-4 full turn then tap it lightly with a hammer to get it separated.
