Title: girvin forks

hi just purchase a set of girvin front forks of off a 657, but when ive fitted them they seem to small at the top for my handle bar stem to tighten down on , is there something missing thanks.

Girvin Vectors are usually 1" steerer, so if your old stem is 1&1/8" then there's your problem.

hi thanks for that col , so can you buy 1 inch stem that just clamps on same as the 1&1/8 one cheers.

Just buy a spacer to allow the 1 1/8" stem to clamp on the 1" steerer tube. On ebay and probably your local bike shop. Unless this is a good reason to buy a different stem.

yes, you can buy a 1" stem, Original Vector stems will be 1" if you're looking for restoring the bike to original.
check eBay for one.
