				Hi folks,
the rebuild of my 854 is coming along, however I'm getting frustrated with the brake cable clamping arangement on the non-drive side of the swing arm ( not the pivoting linkage).
Could anyone post up a picture of the arrangement as to the order of the nut/bolt ? bushing - mine seems not to want to fit or clamp the cable!

 TIA

Hi, Post a picture to explain what your problem is, I don't quite understand.

From memory the inner cable runs through the bolt on swing arn
it is clamped by a washer and domed nut inner cable stays still
 outer cable moves the pivot.

I think you may have the domed nut bottoming out before the cable
is clamped just add a washer

				Re the rear brakes
 Nabbed this pic from Internet
Hope it explains things a bit

Now that's something I've not seen before. That cable set up is quite a system.

 Thanks for the replies folks,
I've managed to re-assemle the anchoring system, it always appears to me to have been engineered the wrong way round...

It's not a very elegant solution considering the linkage system that Proflex came up with  :)

Here is the section I was referring to, I've had to make a collar in order to clamp the cable, a pile of washers just didnt cut it :)

Good to see you have a tidy fix.

things have moved on from 50mm travel
 forks with canti brake
