Title: Why Risse?
Post by: StoereVent on August 17, 2003, 09:08:08 pm
Hello,

I wonder why 'we all like Risse'. Is it because Risse makes the best shocks or because Risse makes the best shocks to fit Proflex/K2?
I ask this because my NR4 might need replacing and I get the feeling the only option is to replace it for a Risse (5500C).

Jeroen.

I am going to replace my Risse with a Fox Talas R over the winter. I really like the idea of being able to change rear travel to match the Fox Talas adjustable fork I have.
OP has had many different shocks on the back of his carbon frame. 5th element, Fox, you name it, he's tried it.
perhaps he will tell us which one he likes best.

I think you see Risse mentioned alot because they are the only known manufacturer of aftermarket shocks for certain Pre-Evo frames.  The Evo frames seem have a lot of success of mounting practically anything almost including the kitchen sink.
