I have been fixing up my Proflex for a couple of years now. I always wanted to lose the elastomers on my 656 but the only option at the time was the Risse Genesis. The Risse runs about $220 each. I bought the rear one first with plans on getting one for my Girvin Vector 2 fork later. Before I could buy a Risse for the Girvin I found NuLifeCycles sold replacement springs for almost all Proflex. They are a fifth the price of the Risse so I thought I would give them a try. I got the spring a few days ago and really like it. I would say even more than my Risse. The spring is firm and not too squishy, but the travel is much better than the elastomers. So I just wanted to let everyone know there is an affordable option when restoring your Proflex. I just wish I knew of them before I bought the Risse. I could have saved a couple hundred dollars.
