After looking at the 957 frame for sale in the sales section I just wondered if there is any way to repair the dents in the top tube. It's a common thing on proflexs where the top ulm turns full lock and makes contact with the top tube. I have a 757 frame I bought for spares with very small dents there but that 957 has huge ones.
I've pulled dents out of steel panels on cars with great success but aluminium tubing is a different thing. Any thoughts?

Would it not be possible to put some weld in there and sand it back then a polish?
I have a friend with a cube that has a nice dent in the Downtube where a bench hit him :o
A local welder wouldn't touch it (triple butted)said it would burn like tissue paper. Seen some crazy ideas for dent removal, like fill with water and freeze. Compressed air. Neither of which I would recommend.

It's usually a tree that jumps out and hits me!
Filling with weld I'd an idea but I know with steel too much of a weld build up causes a brittle point that usually fractures with flex. But aluminium frames don't flex?? so it could be fine. It's an idea for sure.
What does Shovelon think oh knowledgable metal one.

Of course aluminum frames flex. Everything flexes. I can shake the handlebars side-to-side while I'm riding my bikes and I can feel the frame flexing where the headset-tube mounts to the top-tube and the down-tube.

Don't do that! You'll fatigue the metal until it breaks unexpectedly and you'll crash and hurt yourself! That Aluminium is dangerous stuff! it'll break without any warning! (Just like my Spinergy wheels! <GRIN>) We can't afford to lose any old PRO~FLEXers!
Only kidding!
On a change of subject, it has finally started raining here in England after one of the longest and hottest spells in about 10 years!
I've been out riding the Chiltern hills with my bro' each Thursday evening and it has been so dry that I considered changing from my Fire XC's to my Mach Semi-Knob tyres but as they don't make them any more and they are my last set, I'm saving them for races.

Anyone know anywhere to get some from?
At this rate, I'm gonna need my Mud tyres on!

You might as well put your MUDs back on Col cos it thundered and rained today so that's the summer over!! Ha ha
And I don't believe that is all frame flex your feeling, it's more likely the tyres flexing. If the frame flexed that much at the it would snap. If yours does flex that much buy a 857 or a 4000, cos they certainly don't flex like that.

Col, metals deform before breaking. Carbon fiber doesn't.
