Title: Making knobby tracks in the white dirt.
Post by: Thunderchild on March 08, 2013, 11:00:36 pm
Have had a pretty good snow biking year.  Anyone else out making knobby tracks in the snow?

I have but not that deep!! How have you mounted that rear mudguard? I like the look of that.

I was hoping for a chance to ride my all-wheel-drive bike in the snow this winter. Didn't get any. I hate winter in the South. It's cold and miserable and it doesn't even snow properly.

That saddle's too high! <GRIN>

You need New Improved Shimano Deore XT Shorter Legs:

:) Its just the camera angle, really the seat is quite low. ;)
Actually I find by having my seat really high it improves my skills as on leaving the house I cant put a foot down for three hours unless I find a small wall.
Curse my long legs!!

That is the famous OP rear fender.  It is made from an older fender that attached to the seatpost.  OP do you still have info on it?

hehe I ride with my seat set up bolted like a road bike on my 854 lol (no QR)....but then I spend more time on XC trails, singletrack and climbs more than downhills... I had no options to ride in the white stuff this year :( but usually do most years...
