Title: Fox Float RP23
Post by: Spokes on February 21, 2013, 01:53:12 am
Just a quick heads up for anyone with a 4000/5000 and 4500/OZ carbon looking for a top replacement for there rear shock.
Chainreaction are selling off new 2012 Fox Float RP23 in 215mm / 64mm stroke for £152.99. Big saving as these were £379.00.
This shock will bolt straight on with the correct bushing, which can be bought from MOJO suspension.
I run a 215mm / 64mm Fox Float R on my 4000 and its brilliant.
My new build OZ will now be running a RP23! :)

So here is my new shock for the 4500 build. (http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j413/proflexk2/IMG_0292.jpg)(http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j413/proflexk2/IMG_0293.jpg)

And here is the Float R on my 4000 which transformed the ride from the old leaking NR4 I had previously. The Fox Float fits with no mod to the 4000/4500 style frames.(http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j413/proflexk2/IMG_0291.jpg)The correct size bushes for the swingarm are available off the shelf and for the top I bought over size and turned them down on a lathe by 1.3mm each side for the 4000 if I remember correctly. A perfect fit though and an easy job. Mojo suspension supplied the bushes and even gave me a pair of over size bushes for the 4500 for free.
