I have a 755 (not the world cup frame, standard seat tube) at the house that I disassembled last year. I would love to put it back together but the biggest reason I stopped riding the bike was b/c I kept blowing out those stupid elastomers.
I have looked all over and still cannot find anything aftermarket to replace the elastomers with -- like a coil shock. Does anyone know if such a thing exists or should I continue to let the frame make nice wall art?
If I cannot find something, I'm relegated to looking for a "new" older model world cup frame or 4000 / 5000 series frame.
Thanks for your help!

According to the Risse website, they make a shock for your frame. Check out http://www.risseracing.com, and give them a call to check for sure.

there is not a off the shelf shock made for your bike.

That has been my experience with this frame and why I posted about it. I was REALLY hoping someone else had figured something out!!
Oh well, it still looks good hanging on the wall in the that odd spot where nothing else fits [smiley=disbelief.gif]
Guess I'm still looking for a new ride..... :-/

If you get any responses to this, please let me know! I have an old Proflex 752 and the ploymer shocks have turned to rock.

:) ;) according to risse's website, they DO make a shock for the 755. it's probably around $250. here is the link to the proflex list. some of the models have a pic link.

the 755 referred to in the risse website is known as the 755 wc .The non wc frame is like the 656.You can get new elastomers from k2!!!!
this is a "world cup frame
(http://idriders.com/proflex/galleries/DiRT/DT_657large.jpg)
and a 755 non world cuo would look something like this(the difference is the interupted seat tube allows for a proper length shock

Actually the 755 non world cup frame looks like this. I have new elastomers but since I kept blowing them out, I would like to find a coil shock that would work. I'm pretty sure one does not exist as I have been looking for one for a few years now. Now to that pic...
well, I can't figure it out. let's try adding the link...
