I was just looking at the Manitou Swinger website and it lists a Swinger Air 3 way with the dimensions of 8.25 x 2" which sounds perfect for the Oz/5500c. It lists it as being for a Trek.
Has anyone seen or tried fitting this on our bikes?

NO I haven't-but I'm saving the pennies as of now-read that some of these can run as low as 220 grams which is 1/4 under other air shocks-I know, skip the glass of water before the ride to double the savings :)

Would this rear shock (or different size) work with my EVO 4.0? The weight loss is less a concern, but reducing "THE BOB" would be cool...

Not sure if it will. The dimensions are perfect, but what worries me is that it says for Trek only. Hopefully the top and bottom mounts don't have some funky fitting.
I'll try and look for the Swinger on some Treks at the store and see.

I E-mailed Manitou and they said that if the dimensions are correct, there should be no problem...

I'd hate to see the bidding war if one gets one Ebay. There are a bunch of us on the board that would probably die to have it. (Including me, just don't tell my wife I'm trying to upgrade my bike AGAIN!!!)

5 1/2 or 6 of bob free travel...what's not to like!! I just try not to tell my wife(although I think she knows already ;D)
