Title: Hope rear weld on disk mounts
Post by: proflexGB on August 04, 2003, 11:56:08 am
I've ordered two hope weld on 6061 alu rear disk mounts from Hope, here in the UK, thru my LBS.
And the stainless steel jig for setting their position whilst welding.

These are the bits Omega used to do my mount (see gallery). They charged me £40 ($60)

They are very reasonable, £6 ($10) for each mount and the jig ($30 all in).

They are made to the International Standard pitch and the jig (which needs to be held in with an old axle) lines the distance from the dropout outwards if u see what i mean, it can be rotated to any position thru 360 deg.
Then u machine the edge of the mount to fit the swing arm and weld in place.

I will post some pics when they turn up, - then I need to sort out getting them welded on!
