Title: Proflex 856 front suspension swap
Post by: paulspro on September 06, 2011, 06:08:53 pm
Hello everyone. I have a Proflex 856 I am getting ride ready.  So far I have replaced the elastomers with springs, upgraded to M brakes, and changed the oil in the ods dampers. My question is is it possible to mount a 1 1/8 steerer standard fork on this bike? Does anyone know the claimed travel on the Girvin? I am looking forward to riding this bike and see how it compares to my hardtail. Thanks for any input...paul

It is certainly possible, and it's my preferred setup. You have to replace the headset, though, because the one that came with the bike is too narrow.
