Title: 5000 takes on the Frozen Hog
Post by: Thunderchild on February 26, 2011, 10:34:57 pm
My 5000 has become my winter bike this year, so it was appropriate to let her do this race.  Trail was mostly snow packed with ice and some frozen tread.  Temperature was in the low 20s F.  Perfect for me and my IRC studded tires ;D I took 5th out of 9; not bad for being at the end of my age bracket.  Very happy that it was a riding race and not a running/walker with bike like last year.

It was cold, but I ride all winter so pretty well acclimated.  I have learned by mistakes made how to dress for the cold.  Luckily I have never lost any toes.
