Yeah, that's no NR2 on there. it's a Manitou Swinger 3 way. I was going to sell the bike with the original NR2 on it, that's why the build list has the NR2 on it.

As for the dirt guard, I thought the aluminum shaft on the Manitou wouldn't like dirt and stones flying off the rear wheel onto it, so I made a shield for it. It's nothing more than a plastic pill bottle (I think from Advil) cut and zip-tied onto it. It does a nice job. I thought about painting it since it  looks a little bland. Maybe a nice big sticker on it?

Paint??  Just clean up the cuts.  It looks aftermarket in the long shots.

Excellent job :)  I have a swinger on my bike too.  Easy to adjust and trouble free (so far).  That is a nice rear disk adapter - did you fabricate it yourself?

If you boil the plastic in a pot full of RIT clothing dye, you can make it whatever color you want and it will never chip off.

Thanks for the complement. That disc adapter is a K2 OAM part. It's a CNC part. See post http://idriders.com/proflex/smf/index.php?topic=3633.0 (http://idriders.com/proflex/smf/index.php?topic=3633.0)

This bike is for sale now since I need the funds for another bike. I thought of asking $500 USD for it.  Does that seem like a fair price?

I think you could get more than 500 on ebay.  If I had an extra 500, I would be sending it your way.

I like that shock guard and will be copying it asap for the air shock on my 5000.

That's a great idea...I remember "back in the day" dyeing my white R/C car parts black. I'm going to give that a try since I even have some dye on hand. thanks

The key is finding a plastic  bottle with a mouth big enough to fit the shock shaft and sized right for the outer shock shell. Over-the-counter pill bottles work well. My buddy found a mustard bottle that worked well for his shock.
