Post by: Thunderchild on August 03, 2009, 12:12:53 pm
My Oz passed 11,000 miles last week.  Check out this epic Oz attended ride.  I was the ride leader.  Yeah, my real name is Kerry!!  http://bikepeddlerweekly.blogspot.com/2009/07/rat-rideaka-rat-bastard.html

11K eh? I wonder which will wear out first, the bike or the rider?

My OzM has got Zero miles................... is that also a record?

Loads of miles on the others though!

The rider, the components, the shocks, the trails, everything else but not the bike. ;D

Changed the swingarm bushes on my 5500 about 20kmiles ago for second hand ones.
Had my shock serviced about 7kmiles ago.
Rear hub and freehub body (XT) are shot to pieces.

Bike's as floppy as hell but just keeps going.
I've broken too many bike computers to know exactly how many miles mime has really done, but up until my second daughter was born I was on about 6000 miles with about 82 vertical miles accumulated per year, in temperatures ranging from -15°c to +35°C.
Seem to have to get home earlier now with three women in the house...

The 5500/OZ just goes on and on.
Quite pleased with my ten year old SID XL forks too actually.

Yep! Maturing nicely! it's a "Vintage" now isn't it?

Seriosuly though, yes I do feel very guilty to be so lucky to have a brand New unridden example and then to just be looking at it! I spend too much time on the XP-X and the 4000se!!

Maybe next year...............
