Title: Campag A-Teks , worth?
Post by: sid on July 19, 2009, 10:27:01 am
Hi

I have finally found front and rear Campagnolo A-Teks on xt hubs that were origonal equipment on 954's ,super light and sweet as a nut ,  the guy thats got them wont say how much he wants for them but for me to make him an offer . I obviously want to get them as cheap as I can , like anyone would , but at the same time I obviously dont want to offend aswell . I have no idea at all what they are worth , anyone know so I can pay a fair price to suit us both  ? P.S I also have to consider to whether I have them rebuilt on my hope ti hubs so thats a consideration too. They seem to be fairly rare to pick up these days too , probably as they were so expensive in the first place .

Cheers all .

If this helps, I have seen A-teks on Fleabay that go from $50 to $99 ea.  Campy collectors root these out. As far as XT hubs, I don't think they are worth much and should not factor into the equation.

I think I would offer no more than $150 for the set. I would certainly consider builiding up on your Hope hubs. Sell the XTs later.
