Can you run the vector forks the reverse way round, with the axle leading forward? or has anyone tried them this way?

That would be me. I did it with a crosslink and it works well for getting more rake. I did it to offset the dreaded "J-Path". However I did change it out for a slider fork for more travel.
What is your issue with it standard?

I find the front tucks on slow turns and downhill on steep stuff i always feel like i am going to go over the front. Is ther any problem with the axle being forward of the shock?

My front wheel tucked in also. The decision to increase the rake was because when the front wheel tucks in, it felt like it would wash out too. Upon full compression of the fork, the fork would shimmy and throw me completely into disarray.
The final decision to swap the fork legs was when I crashed hard when the front wheel tucked in a washed out in a downhill turn, and I broke me clavicle and scapula. ::)
