I have a 2001 razorback team with a titanium spring. I have seen a Fox shock sale on e-bay but I have the impression that it is for later razorbacks. What I would like to know is all razorback, regardless of construction year, have the same shock base or was there a change? I 'd be obliged.

Does the shock attach to the top tube, or no?
-
I'm quite interested in the answer to this as well - I don't want to bid alongside you!!!
-
No the shock is only connected on the basis of the shock. Having a closer look at the Fox shock I see two screws (A, B selection) on each side. But looking at my frame (red, white and blue frame with the running razorback sign in front) there are no screws to be screwed on.

Didn't the Razorbacks require different seatstays to mount the Fox pull shock? I think they were available from K2 for a while. It's possible (but doubtful) whoever has "K2" right now (East Coast Cycle Supply?) has some of their old stock left...
There are a couple of former K2 employees who post on the MTBR K2 forum occasionally - sometimes they know where to go to for rare parts.
-
I think the pull shock attachments are universal, as long as its a fox or noleen shock.

Dude, I owned your 2001 version and am now building the 2005 version at present. Here is your answer. RB's featuring the Noleen pullshock cannot switch to the Fox without a different seatstay. At one time K2 offered an upgrade (painted black aluminium) with the Fox shock but that option is now dead.
If anyone is interested, I have an extra Noleen pullshock that being serviced at present by www.shockspital.com so if anyone has a need for one, I'll soon have a refurbished pullshock up for grabs (Callum is this what you need?). Please let me know.
Ride on all you Razorback owners, we have a lovely ride with this rig!

Hi Vexableman, do you still have that Noleen Mega Air? Can it be used in a Razorback '99 frame?
Thanks

Hey Kanox is that picture of a 4 bike rack you have on your profile or a multi trainer?

Sorry no, I no longer have the older frame and have only the fox shock. The Noleen is a good shock though, my impression is as long as it is functioning it stacks up well against the Fox. If you need it repaired, contact shockspital.com in Minneapolis MN, USA. B. Rose is a shock master and can bring it back to new for you.
