I bought a red 656 brand new in 1998 and recently picked up a mint condition blue 656 this past year while looking for elastomers. The red seems to have slightly better components, but does anyone know the specific reasons for the two different colors?

could the blue one have had some componenets changed over the years?

If its anything like the 856, the blue colour bikes were alot faster than the red ones, and the riders of the blue bikes were generally alot better looking ............... ;D
-
Yes, that is a scientific fact............another is that the owners of red bikes were more naturally 'equipped' for pleasing the laydees 8)

Arr then that explains why the blue one are faster.....less weight!
Cant have it all I guess. :D

Ach, I dinnae want it all...............only the good bits!
