Hello users:
Itīs been a while since my last post, but I am worried. Someone told me that itīs very hard do find a dropout for the 856. I wonder where can I get a spare for the future?
Thanks in advance and happy rides...

Hello Orange:
The people you suggested told me to look this one
http://www.derailleurhanger.com/images/DH_48_BIG.jpg (http://www.derailleurhanger.com/images/DH_48_BIG.jpg)
Once I havenīt remove it form the bike can you tell me if it is correct?
I have seen a photo from user simmonc2
http://idriders.com/proflex/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=2 (http://idriders.com/proflex/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=2) but it looks different if one compare the smole hole.
Can anyone give an opinion?
Thanks...

it does look similar - perhaps get in touch with 'Colin' - he's an expert on these things. I don't have an 856 so I'm not sure.

I'll check that against my 856 when I'm in the loft workshop tomorrow. It does not look right - from memory (there is no 'big' hole.)

Ha! "Expert"! That's a good one! You're just setting me up for a fall aren't you Orange! <GRIN>
(But I am secretly pleased...........)
That Hanger doesn't look quite right, but the big hole is correct, a Chain Ring Bolt and "Nut" attaches the Hanger to the frame on an x56 style bike, but the little hole does not look to be in the right place, it should be higher and more to the right. OEM Hangers (Part#14492) have a fixed pin there that locates into the dropout. But I have seen some that have a threaded hole in the dropout so you can use a small screw like the one in my gallery.
See my previous posting:

See the Dropout finder sheet for the right parts for all of the bikes:
http://idriders.com/proflex/files/dropout%20finder.pdf (http://idriders.com/proflex/files/dropout%20finder.pdf)
or this one:

Try BETD
BETD don't list a hanger for the x55/x56/XP-x range, but their Hanger No 45 looks identical to a 59124 Hanger for the '98 HT300 which doesn't have the hole or pin and K2 say "*The hanger 14492 can also be used on the 98 HT 300" So I'd expect it to fit Vice versa:
http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/items.asp?CategoryID=198&Name=Jeep+Hanger%2FDropouts (http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/items.asp?CategoryID=198&Name=Jeep+Hanger%2FDropouts)
So you could take a gamble on that one?
Try ChainReaction,for a BETD48, but I'm not 100% certain that it is identical to a 14492:

Or maybe the BETD45 is better, but doesn't have the small pin or hole.

Sorry, these seem to be your best options!
