Never seen one before - it was a bloke in our local park - just cycled past me - I barely had time to compliment him on it - he didn't seem that bothered. Wonder if he knew what he had? Didn't get the chance for a photo but it was a lovely shiny natural finish with the carbon rear end.
Were many made?

I am gonna say quite a few were made, but the ball burnished shinny-ness went away by '98 i believe.
97 was the first year of full production carbon swingarms. The 956LE was a build of approx 150, with the handcrafted and bonded carbon swingarm, which I don't know if made by Easton. The 956LE also came with the carbon vector 2 fork as intead of the carbon crosslink in 97.

I've dug my 'shiny' 957 out of storage for a revival tour. It's still in new condition, just need to get it outfitted with parts to size it properly for my girl friend.
I'll post some pictures when I'm done.

Your girlfriend does not know how special she is.
I found a size small for my wife, but she just can't get excited. Otherwise it is box stock. Guess I should deck it out like mine. ::)
