Not sure there will be many still active members here that may even remotely remember me(?)
Anyway, I managed to 'finally' find my login details, and, well - here we go...
Hope you are all well, hopefully hear from one or two of you at some point.
My awesome Oz is still going strong ;D

hey Kiwi,
yep, back in Chch - been doing a lot of riding lately (which has kinda taken a bit of a back seat for a while) which is probably why I'm back.
the Port Hills are awesome, but then again - so is Wanaka and Queenstown, as well as Central Otago.
How's things been in your world?

well w e went....was a good day, unfortunately the star of the show waas crashed on thursday.A mark ix spitfire(modded to be a 2 seater). The undercarriage collapsed. So the main attraction was (only) a packard powered P51D mustang...subtle but the packards dont sound quite as good as the genuine RR examples....

we had a spitfire fly over our house last year - they do sound amazing. Being a home to Rolls Royce aero in Derby we do get a few unusual flights over us from time to time.
-
i still remember when i was a kid we had a flight of spitfires, a flight of hurricanes, 3 mosquito`s, a mk1 blenhiem, a beufighter, 2 lancasters, a wellington, followed by some EE lightnings, hunters, vulcans, victors and the red arrows in the folland gnats that they used before the hawks they use now fly over our house in the mid `70`s, as a totally plane crazy kid it was a day i will never forget. 2 years ago i went mental in the car park at tesco`s pointing towards a passing flying fortress with a thunderbolt and mustang escort!
