Title: 95 proflex 955 chainstay angle
Post by: suzuki1 on November 23, 2008, 07:09:40 pm
I've put on xt front Derailleur but it rubs on chain when in high gear or hits teeth in low. New one is 66-69 degree do I need 63-66?

ah the old front derailleur problem - with some tinkering you can get pretty standard front mechs to work. Does it still rub even when you are sitting on the bike (i.e. the swingarm rises a bit having the effect of lifting the rear cassette and chain), not just when on a bike stand?

of course not helped by the daft way you have to adjust the mech through the hole in the swingarm!!
