Hi, just wondering if it is possible to increase the travel on a 2003 Razorback?
-
a purely theoretical answer on my part..If you had a shock with more travel and there are no physical restraints ie physical contact betwwen components you could do it.However because the shock that the razor back uses is specific to the razorback you dont have many choices. The razorback is actually developed from a turner design???? so maybe look and see what shock/travel that bike acheives......

Thanks for that. I don't suppose you know the name of the frame that used this type of suspension?

Sure do...Turner Stinger.

I have been toying with the idea of increasing my FSR's rear travel for quite some time.
Stock shock itoi is 6.5", figured I could pop in a 7 or 7.5" shock with longer stroke and thus increase travel.
Recently I realized my bike geometry would also change, making my head angle very steep. So I would also need to increase travel up front, to maintain my ride's handling manners.
Just some thoughts for you to consider. (I will eventually get the longer shock)

Betd makes longer linkage plates to increase your leverage ratio. so you could get longer travel with the same shock with a heavier spring.
