Title: Upgrading an 855
Post by: mootsguy on November 16, 2008, 02:37:04 pm
Besides improving the braking and changing the elastomers for a Noleen NR1/2 what other changes have you folks made to yours that improved the breed?

I have in mind the following things:

Putting a Look Fournales VTT linkage fork on it
Changing the swing arm out for a carbon one
Tubeless wheels and tires

Anything else strike your fancy?

I have an NR-4 with the piggy back reservoir.

how are you going to make a carbon swingarm?

have a peak at Simon's 856 (basically the same frame as the 855) for some radical ideas!

Sealed bearing kit!

I love and hate looking at Simon's bike.

I think the biggest difference I made to my 855 was to change from flat bars to riser bars with more width. The bike seemed to handle a lot better after the change.

Its not a stunning upgrade, but it turned out for me to be a very effective one.

Are you looking to offload it?

no sorry - I haven't got anything to replace it with, besides quite happy with it.
