Title: Risse pressure
Post by: Spokes on November 12, 2008, 09:05:20 am
Im trying to find out what pressures to run my Genesis front and Astro 5 on the rear.
A previous post states for a 180lb rider - 180psi for the rear and 120psi for the front.
Im 148lb so how much psi would you suggest I drop?

Ive read the notes on the Risse site and I guess its a case of trial and error to set the sag first then fine tune.

I can say about 70 to 90 on my crosslink and vector.

Wow, maybe my new pump is way off...but I'm 160 lbs and seem to be running 190-200 rear and 150 or more front just to get the around 15% sag the instructions recommend. The jury is still out on my setup...I like the feel of the Risse when it is travelling, but there's too much stiction. They seem to have gotten the dampening right, though  (unless that's causing the stiction). After a little riding around they do seem to loosen up a bit.
