Post by: Thunderchild on May 14, 2008, 08:50:03 pm
Anyone remember which cleat 97A or 98A works best with Girvin/K2 Mag pedals?

Thanks Spokes.  I just picked up a set of Titanium axle Mags and a set of normal Mags on ebay without cleats.

Ah, so you got them.

Check the ti spindle for a hole going along the inside of the crank threads. If it goes to deep and beyond the thread, it is the recall ones. The stronger ones have the hole only going maybe 4 mm deep. Todd, the guy I met from easton warned me about that. I have a set of each, and the weaker ones I use with my flexier bikes.

Whew, the hole in the Ti-pedals is only 4mm.  Thanks for the heads-up Terry.  I can see how if the hole was deeper the axle would be compromised.

On a different note, can I send you my 5000 frame with the seat tube cracks from the high/rear water bottle blocks to be mended????

Sounds like someone needs to be a little nicer to his frames! (Shouldn't all that riding make you a lighter rider?)
