Title: HELP HAS ANYONE GOT ONE OF THESE,
Post by: Luke on March 14, 2008, 01:25:06 pm
Posting it here as well because sometimes I don't look in the wants thread, so maybe others don't either

A bottom spring washer for a NR
1/3 of my morning commute (downhill) is on fast rocky track, one of the many obstacles threw the bike up with a loud crack, on landing the back end was all over the place so I thought I had a pinch puncture. No time to look down though, that section's tricky. Eventually sat down, lower than I expected; and got a chance to look down...
Coil on the swingarm shock on the bump stop.
The bottom spring washer just pushed through!

Thing is, it's my commute set up and I haven't got the race bike rebuilt yet.

So I'm a bit desperate
PM or post please, I can PayPal you for it!

Luke, as replied in the other thread, you may try a motorcycle, auto parts store. Even your LBS may have some other brand. Some of these are a common fit.

Doh!!!!

You should be able get it welded. ;) Use high strength filler. Send it to me, and I will do it por-gratis. You get to file it smooth. :P

Interested in the NR4, will PM you

My local machine shop did me a seat insert the other day and the tool setup costs make a poxy bit of alu cots way more than it’s worth.

Thanks for the offer to weld it up, but there’s a piece missing and a step inside that I wouldn’t be able to file; I’d need a lathe (see above).

Found a LBS where someone actually remembers the bikes! Not bad considering they were never imported into France. Couldn’t help me though  :(

Ta for the replies
