Afternoon all,
I am currently rebuilding my large 5000 frame with new kit, but whilst it fits me ok I think I should have a waybig as I am 6 foot 4. I by chance noticed a 5000 on ebay which the users said was XL, so I asked him for the sizes, he sent back the following:
23 inches center to center
21 inches crank center to center of what would be the top tube[/li][/list]
I have checked out Dave Twede's unofficial K2 page and to be honest I can't work out if it is a large or a waybig, and measuring my large only confused me further. The auction ends tonight (Uk time), and if it is a waybig I might grab it as all my bits will fit it.
Do waybig 5000's come up often in the uk?
cheers all

I always thought that a large was 19 inches center of BB to top of toptube. 21 inches would then sound right for a waybig. I had a waybig 4000 that was tad to big for me at 5'11", and had a larger turning radius.
For reference, my Large Oz is 19" center of BB to top of toptube, and 22 inches center of head tube to center of seatstay. The 5000 is supposed to be the alum copy of the carbon series. K2 did not make a Waybig carbon frame.

cheers terry,
I reckon I am measuring wrong on my Large 4000, I get a bit confused where to measure the top tube etc. I will have another look tonight. I wish they did the OZ in waybig I love that bike, hayho I am sure I will cope :)

My 857 Way Big was 23.5" top tube c-c and 21.5" c-t seat tube if that's worth anything.

cheers Orange. Missed out on the frame as it had a reserve and as it was in the US it was going to be a bit too expensive. I suppose I should pop a post in the wanted section to see if anyone has a waybig they don;t want, fat chance I would think :)
