I know I'm not the only one who lost this forum for the day yesterday - what happened? Anybody know?

I lost it for the day too.

Bloody computers! im just about to start migrating all of my sites over to a new server as the current host is about as useful as road bike in a swamp.

Andy.

I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what the heck was causing the downtime.  Tried a bunch of things, including replacing a bunch of hardware.  Troubleshooting took forever, because the server would run for an average of 3 days between shutdowns!

Turned out to be a freaking power cable that was on it's way out, of all things. :(

Still, that means we should be good for a few more years now.

Grimjack, Excellent in finding that failure, the worst kind to find (it so much easier when you can just wiggle something and induce the fault).
Cheers
