Anyone else watching this auction? Someone really wants that 2-wheel drive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250210551300&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015
I would like to try one out in the snow.

Funny story about that two wheel drive. I was at the Interbike show in 1990 with Charlie Kelly, and as we were touring about, we came upon this two wheel drive bike. It was mounted off the floor on a stand that raised both wheels off the ground so you could spin the cranks and watch both wheels turn. Well, we walked up to it and after watching other guys give it a spin, Charlie turned the cranks super fast, then hit the front brake HARD, and the front drive cable split open on the spot, disabling the bike and provoking great hoots of laughter all around. Needless to say, we didn't see that rig at the next year's show-a one year flop!

I expect if you hit it really hard with a club hammer it would break as well.......................
I bet the first instances of full suspension and disc brakes were met with equal hoots of laughter..............?

been thinking about this one???
now was he still trying to peddle when he hit the brake or freewheel then brake.
cos would it not be connected to some kind of freehub??
otherwise you aint gonna be able to freewheel (doh!) and find you got some kind of peddle back brake which aint good when your
flying downhill clipped into your spuds..
think this guy could be telling porkies??
