Title: BB size for a K2 Beast

Hi All,

I can't get the search function to work, my comp. is all f'd up today [smiley=disbelief.gif].   Can anybody tell me what the BB size is for a 98 K2 Beast?  Thanks

Hi I've had alook on the K2 web site and at some b/b suppliers but I've been unable to find the sizes you require, best contact a K2 dealer,have you got the old b/b the sizes should be stamped on it, alternatively measure the spindle length and the shell width of the frame to give you the sizes,hopefully someone with the same bike will be able to give you the required information sorry I could'nt be of more help.Simon.

 ;)i pretty sure that alll '98 k2 bikes had 73X113 bb's. i think a k2 employee posted that some time ago. you can call their 800# customer service and ask.

I have a 98 Animal and 73X113bb sounds right.

 [smiley=nod.gif] Hi all, a 73 by 113 is right however as the pedal on the drive side pass's with the swinger your heel may clout the swinger itself so you may wish to opt for the 73 by 118 instead.

Come to think of it I think a bit longer BB would be better if you are using a triple chainring set-up. I use a double with a bash guard but when I had the extra ring the chain hit the swing arm.
