Elastomers in both the fork and rear are probably shot.

But it is labeled Offroad, so it would have to be pre 1995.

The fork indicates that it was top of the line when new.

I'd say thats an 853 (1993) frame, looks identical
to the 853 I once owned.Forks are not the original
ones that would of been fitted though, that would
probably of been a very early girvin linkage fork or a
rigid fork with a girvin flex-stem.

Forks might be original.............they're certainly pukka Girvin..............they are a pair of Girvin Pro Forx.

Yep Girvin forks but not the forks it would of came fitted with originally.
Girvin didn't make conventional forks until much later than when that frame was produced.

Don't ever recall a 353 ever being produced ?
maybe the ebay one is a miss print.
Like I say looks identical to the 853 I once owned.

I can only assume the 353 is a later version using what would be by then the older 853 frame.
Something Proflex has done in the past.
Though that 353's rear elastomer is either shot or the bike on craigslist is an 853 (far longer elastomer).
Plus the 853 had its canti mounts on the swingarm
that 353 has them on the strut, its difficult but I can't
see and any canti mounts on the strut on the bike shown in craiglist.

hi the bike in craiglist is a 853 girvin proforx was an option and the 353 was a city/commuter bike with 700cc wheels and 853 frame was mostly used by team members with vectors ie bob roll.
