Title: Wanted: end cup for bottom of ODS spring on 857
Post by: orange on September 12, 2007, 07:10:09 am: I need the washer/plate/end cup thingy that goes under the spring on the ODS of an 857 - I have the top bit for the top of the spring but not the bottom one which rests against the strut and the conical adapter.

Anybody got one out there?

Need it desperately now as bike unrideable without it!

Post by: Colin on September 17, 2007, 05:36:43 am: Apparantly the end cups that come with an MCU equipped ODS are not strong enough to handle a coil spring (according to my Speedspring notes and also PRO~FLEX's comments in the day). So I guess you're talking about a specific "coil" end cup?

If you get stuck you could maybe get one from Callum at RDS?

Post by: orange on September 17, 2007, 07:08:41 pm: wow cool. Have you got an ODS rear shock with a spring or MCU? If so you can take measurements from that. Again it's NOT the conical bit I need but the flat plate with a raised lip around the outer diameter that sits between the spring and the strut. How much would you charge? (Incl. shipping to UK).
