Title: Crosslink 29er
Post by: willem on August 30, 2007, 02:13:17 am
Is is possible? I don't have any Xlinks on hand anymore, but have been thinking about the possibilities.

Will a Crosslink ELT or EXP handle another inch and a half of tire?

How about an 856 set up with a 26" rear and 29" front wheel? The larger hoop might just make up for the short suspension travel in the front.

Should be no problem to cut and add the required amount to each leg at the dropouts if they are aluminu, if you can scare up a bad leg to use as fodder.

Hmmm, interesting idea. I think this venture needs to happen. I am up for the fab work, it you can scare up the parts.

A slightly longer strut, or modified strut for an appropriate air shock would balance it out. Or why not lengthen the swingarm too? Sweet!
