Just found this site while playing on the net. Looks like a good place for answers and support. I have an 855 that I have had since new, August 1995. I found the sales paperwork just to see. I even have all the sales brochures and owners manual and all from that time and some from the next year with sales info on the 56 models. The bike has been upgraded with ODS and springs but that is all so far. It has been hanging in the basement for the last too many years though. I also like to play with little british cars, at the moment I have a 1975 Morris Mini. Now that my daughter is older I hope to have time to start riding again. I'm sure I will have issues while waking the bike up from it's sleep so now I know where to go to.

you've come to the right place for Proflexes - can't advise about Mini's except they have the same elastomers for suspension as your Proflex!!

That is true about the mini susp. But there are companys that make coil springs for them now.
I need to take some photos of a linkage setup I got off Ebay that goes on the rear of my 855. It makes the rear travel up to 4 inchs or so. Hopefully someone here can tell anything about it.

Let me see if this will work.

you are in luck. With any luck at all the original retailer of that suspension system will come along and answer all your questions.Callum of RDI is your man.I am not sure of his exact role in the design and development but he was the man selling them!

I lost out on one of them on Ebay a couple of weeks ago - was really sore as I really fancied it for my 855... :-(
